About Us

Dunedin Personal Trainer

Hi, my name is Heather, and I would like to introduce myself to all of you!  You see, you are as much a piece of my story as I am.

I am a Holistic Dunedin personal trainer, a Certified Fitness Instructor , and a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, specializing in hormonal health and Fibromyalgia. Now you may be wondering, how this could relate to you?

The answer is simple, through my own difficulties and health struggles, and with it, the quest for answers.

Dunedin Personal Trainer

I have made it a decade long journey to find the solutions that could benefit my own holistic health and that of other people.

Health is a term that is often used loosely with no real understanding of all the factors that go into making an individual “Healthy”.

Stress, lack of sleep, overeating and eating on the go, for example, all of these factors affect our entire wellbeing and our very delicate hormonal balance and cellular structure.

As your Dunedin personal trainer, my way of coaching is to look at you, in your entirety.

Your relationships, work, fitness, and eating habits are all taken into account while we work together in a place where there is no judgment, to find what works best for your unique body.

I collaborate closely with medical professionals, chiropractors and holistic healthcare practitioners to assist in the treatment of clients with movement restrictions and injuries, Hormone and Gut Health issues as well as Fibromyalgia.

You see, you need to know what is happening on the inside before we can fix what you deem imperfect on the outside.

Yes, I want you to have your “dream” body but with it, I want hair that shines, a skin that glows and a bounce to your step because you are full of energy and vitality. I want you to be happy.
That for me is HEALTH.

Wellness Matters…

As a Dunedin personal trainer, I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs because I understand that life happens and your needs will change. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert, not the latest magazine article or fad diet book.

My story

I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where I learned many important life lessons and skills from my mother and my grandparents at our little mini farm where I was encouraged by my family to become well rounded. They instilled in me from a very young age a passion for learning and for sharing the knowledge that I acquired with those around me.

I have always been driven and self-motivated but when Fibromyalgia problems took over, I was left feeling depressed and my body was in a condition I was not happy with, that’s when I decided to take back control and I did the first thing my mother taught me to do…learn!

I learned everything I could about my disease and pushed myself to gain my certification as a personal trainer through NASM and went back to school in New York to become a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach at The Institue of Integrative Nutrition.

Now I help my clients feel their best through food, exercise, and healthy lifestyle changes by tailoring specific individualized programs. I will act as your supportive mentor and wellness coach by taking a holistic approach to your overall health, whatever your goals might be. Together we work towards long term benefits that are realistic, attainable, and sustainable.

Medical fitness specialist

Medical Fitness Specialists help make the transition from medical management and/or physical therapy to a regular physical activity program following a surgery, an injury, a medical diagnosis or exacerbation of a pre-existing condition.

They possess the training and skills to work with medical conditions. Medical needs may include obesity, diabetes, hypertension, neuromuscular disorders, heart disease, lung disease, osteoporosis, orthopedic injury, cancer, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, menopausal and hormonal changes, and mental health.

“Medical fitness specialist” does not just include personal trainers or fitness professionals. We welcome all fitness, wellness and health related disciplines on our Network, including chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, etc. All of these professionals should work collaboratively to improve lives!
